Jasmonates, Their Biosynthesis, Metabolism and Signalling Pathway in Plant Organisms

چکیده
Jasmonates, derivatives of jasmonic acid, are lipid-derived oxylipins with cyclopentanone ring, produced as a result dioxygenation mediated by lipoxygenases. The biosynthesis acid is catalysed series different enzymes, starting from lipoxygenase, allene oxide synthase, cyclase and 12-oxophytodienoic reductase to the final three rounds β-oxidation. Consequently, few metabolites known jasmonates formed resulting acid. Some these active able work on jasmonate receptor thus start signalling pathway. Products gene expression this pathway have great significance in plant growth, development, reproduction, senescence also defence adaptation various adverse environmental conditions.

Differential signalling and plant-volatile biosynthesis.
At least two different signalling pathways have been identified that result in clearly distinguishable volatile profiles in response to pathogens and herbivores in the lima bean Phaseolus lunatus. Alamethicin, a voltage-gated ion-channel-forming peptide from Trichoderma viride, is a potent inducer of volatile biosynthesis in the lima bean. Unlike elicitation with cellulysin or herbivore damage,...
متن کاملBiosynthesis and Action of Jasmonates in Plants.
Jasmonic acid and its derivatives can modulate aspects of fruit ripening, production of viable pollen, root growth, tendril coiling, and plant resistance to insects and pathogens. Jasmonate activates genes involved in pathogen and insect resistance, and genes encoding vegetative storage proteins, but represses genes encoding proteins involved in photosynthesis. Jasmonic acid is derived from lin...

The increasing attention being paid to metallic nano particles (MNPs) is due to their intensive applications in different areas of science such as medicine, chemistry, agriculture, and biotechnology. The main methods for nanoparticle production are chemical and physical approaches that are often costly and potentially harmful to the environment. Since the eco-frien...
متن کاملDistinct Roles of Jasmonates and Aldehydes in Plant-Defense Responses
BACKGROUND Many inducible plant-defense responses are activated by jasmonates (JAs), C(6)-aldehydes, and their corresponding derivatives, produced by the two main competing branches of the oxylipin pathway, the allene oxide synthase (AOS) and hydroperoxide lyase (HPL) branches, respectively. In addition to competition for substrates, these branch-pathway-derived metabolites have substantial ove...
